So I got a Defect fine just yesterday.....need help

Was cruising along surfers paradise after a good feed,then a red coppa saw me then switched on his lights so i pulled over, he was being a tight ass sayin my car being too low, cant even fit my licence under it, so i was like yeah i know, i JUST got the car after the bodykit was put on and im about to get coilovers, but he insist of giving me a ticket for defect & also said my front number plate isnt visible from a 45' angle & back number plate bent, because the aus plate wont fit so the guy had to bend it abit,,, i need to get a personalized number plate which im gonna pick the US size for the back and slimeline for the front...

well anywayz get to the main point, i need coilovers for my mr2 spyder, currently got a quote from autobarn for about $1800.. so i dont know, will bigger/thicker tyres help ? i only need to lift it up another 22mm - 30mm, or is there any other ideas? i dont want to spend so much on coilovers dont really trust ebay, but i guess thats the only way for me? heres the link http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/COILOVER-Toy ... 19c1098221
