FS: Leased Camera Gear (SLR) and Laptop. Lots of Accessories

Post by FtoSam »

Hey all,

My missus is looking at getting rid of her dSLR and Laptop.

I've built her a new desktop recently and she got a new 5D a few months back and has just found that she does not use the 550D anymore.
Here's the details:

Camera: Canon EOS 550D
Review: http://www.cnet.com.au/canon-eos-550d-339300886.htm
Sensor: APS-C 18 Megapixels
Screen: 3"
Shoot Speed: 3.7 Shots Per Second
Video: Full HD Video (Amazing quality!)
Condition: Perfect

Lenses:
18-55mm Canon EFS Lens + UV Filter
55-250mm Canon EFS Lens + UV Filter
Condition: Both Perfect

Laptop: Toshiba Satellite L500D/E02
CPU: AMD Turion Ultra II Dual Core M620 2.5Ghz
Ram: 4Gb
HDD: 500Gb
Video: Radeon HD4650
OS: Win 7 Home Premium 64bit
Condition: Very Good

Accessories:
16Gb Sandisk Ultra II 15mb/s SD Card
8Gb Sandisk Ultra II 15mb/s SD Card
8Gb Lexar Premium 133x 15mb/s SD Card
4Gb Sandisk Ultra II 15mb/s SD Card
4Gb Sandisk Extreme 30Mb/s SD Card
Inca Ball Head Tripod (High Quality)
Remote Shutter Release
Spare Genuine Battery
2x Spare non-genuine Batteries
Camera Bag That holds body and both lenses plus a couple of extras.

Everything is in like new condition. We're just not getting the use out of it. We have all the proper gear to look after our cameras. We have a sensor scope and do full cleans of our sensor every month or two. also, this camera hasnt been used for half its life due to her mainly using a 50D for most work and her most recent camera, a 5D.

There is a lot of gear here. All is in perfect condition. Even the memory cards look brand spankin new.

The trick is that this is all being leased through Flexirent. So this isnt so much of a sale, as it is to get someone to take over the lease.

Theres only about 18 months left on the lease, so we've already paid half of it. We initially leased it for the insurance benefits (theft + accidental damage in particular).

The new owner will also recieve these benefits. Plus we claim it on tax so we get 30% of the payments back.

We currently pay $185.57 per month for them. They are under the same lease, so cannot be split.

This includes all the above items and the insurance. If you can claim this on your tax, you will recieve 30% or so back (depending on your tax bracket).

we dont want any cash for this, and just want a straight take over.

If you're interested let me know. Can get photos of all this gear.

At the end of the lease, you have a couple of options:

1- Double time - Pay one extra payment, and then they will insure it for another 3 years, then you own it. (this is what we normally do with our leases) -You dont make any payments during this though.

2- Give it back - Dont know why anyone would ever do this

3- Upgrade - 3 Months before the end, you can send back the camera and laptop (keep the accessories), and they wipe those payments, if you upgrade your gear.

If you interested, let me know. To take over the lease, Flexirent will need you to have a job, etc.

Or if you want any info on whats involved with the leasing side, let me know.. i've done a fair few of these.

Cheers,
Sam

Also forgot we also had out NAS drive on this as well..

Would rather not give it away as we use it a ton, but have to...

Its a WD World Book 2 Terrabyte. White.

Had Gigabit ethernet connection, etc as well as a USB expansion port for either an external HDD or printer which it also will share over the network.

Very nice bit of gear.. We currently store all of our music and videos on it and either of our xbox's or PS3's can read it straight over the network..

comes as part of the deal above.
