carbon fiber DIY

So that hasnt been cleaned in over a year and a half and not had a car cover so thought id do some tidying up as I was on my day off.

BEFORE




So I removed the mesh,
Sprayed it black and laquered it
Washed, de-tared & cley bared the bumper.
Added carbon fiber splitters
& Made a Carbon fiber Aeroseal to help create downforce

Does the carbon fibre wrap stay wrinkly like that? or does it need to be set or something?

You can get carbon fibre fabric, you just need to add hardener and clear coat.
For added thickness you can add fiber glass as well.

Its carbon fiber fabric 2 layers of 180 degree temp resistant hardener.

Then another layer of carbon for strength. step will be a aluminum brace at the rear to the chasis.

The part is not going to be visible so i dont mind about it being wavey.
The varbon was only used because it is so light and strong. It holds itself upwhen i flip the bumper upsidedown

So because it's not visible you're happy to do a half assed job

Also if you want it to be effective as an aerodymanic aid it needs to be smooth...

The bottom is smooth the top isnt and thr top doesnt have to be smooth
