Guys,
I've got 9 of these servers to get rid of. They are a single RU entry level server. All come with 1 GB ram (upgradeable to 8Gb) and 2 x 250 Sata drives (upgradeable to 2TB of SAS as they have the SAS raid controller installed) an Intel Xeon processors and dual network ports plus remote admin network port.
A $200 donation to Ronald McDonald house will get you one, pickup from Thornleigh.

lol yeah 3 drives & raid 5 would be nice, but they aint got that.
You can, I believe, convert them though... change the cage to hold 4 x 2.5" drives, then you could do a Raid 5 over 4 drives. Dunno what the 2.5" drive size max is.

less than the 3.5 that's for sure, plus a small cache, not that in my situation that's a problem, but the cost is far greater for the 2.5s, and already have my drives set up.

I'd be more interested in a Proliant microserver.
