Hi guys,
my automatic transmission fluid is in need of a change and I'm looking at getting it completely flushed out by a specialist instead of doing it myself.
Is it worth going to a specialist to do this, or will doing it myself be fine?
Also, where can I buy some good quality fluid from? I think it's SPF-III I need?
Cheers
Where to buy AT fluid / worth going to specialist?

Do it yourself mate, its a piece of piss.
This video does the perfect job of explaining it, although it is on a Honda.
The pipe points to do this on the FTO are near the actual filter on the box & run into the radiator. Just use them as your fluid in & fluid out points. Dextron III is fine.

Thanks for the replies, I might have a go at it this weekend
So Dextron III short is DX3?
If so is this a good fluid to use?

If you can get hold of Amsoil or Redline ATF then I would go for that above something like Comma, not sure about the valvoline but it is a DX3.
Mitsubishi used/recommended diaqueen I believe but it's hard to come buy and or expensive.

There's a bit in the Mitsi manuals about how to fully drain the system by using those points and running the box through the gears. It takes a lot of bottle to let your box run to dry though! IIRC it means running the car for about 30 odd seconds. I think I managed about 20!
