Re: Strut top
It's pillowball upper mount, to be exact.
That tein set, cheapest you can get through locally is from perfectrun au/jp delivered to your door for around $250 or less. You'll need to email them on the product as Tein's is not listed on their web which only got Cusco's there.
Ben is using them. He bought it through camskill which is dearer.
For usd$130? where?

The OE is made of rubber bush which replaced by pillowball in Tein's.
And the mounts on Tein is metal instead of rubber. (harsher ride, of course).
And, i heard that Tein's bearing are prone to fail after some time creating noise, which needs to be replaced.

Re: Strut top
Not sure about locally. I think you only able to get it from local mitsubishi. Try phone them for price.
Google "tein pillowball bearing noise" , plenty of discussions in forums.
FYI, tein's coilovers for fto are using the same pillowball upper mount.

Re: Strut top
I've had em on my car for 6 years & never had a bearing noise or issue. Just need to lube the top ball from time to time as per Tien specs.
btw they can be used on any strut, not just Teins.
