Since it's an Apple product, the savings are very minimal. Your best chance is to wait for a sale on at JB or something. But there is a rumored new Macbook Air coming in the next month or so

Wait until the next macbook is available and pickup the previous model second hand off a hipster douche on ebay, or just get a real laptop.
LED ALL the things.

95% of laptops I come across are pieces of sh*t. They claim high end specs etc. but when you use them they feel so much slower than you would hope. Not to mention the build quality is cheap and they weigh a lot.Supplanter wrote:Wait until the next macbook is available and pickup the previous model second hand off a hipster douche on ebay, or just get a real laptop.
I got the macbook air because it's very portable, has a nice LED screen and the touchpad is amazing. The touchpad is a make or break for me on the laptop as it's what I'm interacting with most, I haven't come across one on a PC laptop that is even close. Other things like the solid build quality and 8 hour battery along with the SSD makes it fast. That said there are some cons with not upgrading the SSD etc. so be wary of that.
I am definitely a PC person (I just spend $400 on another videocard

They are still heavy and big. The touchpad is also stupid on them.EscapingFate wrote:OOOOOR you could get alien ware ... ive seen a fair few of those laptops and they are no less than amazing. Expensive... but amazing.
Besides that if you put an SSD in one they can be pretty decent

Re: WTB: macbook air deals anyone?
My list:
IPod original - going strong, does it's job.
iPhone 3gs - mucking up, haven't even had it a year.
That's it. Apple and I do not get along..
Give me a buggy Microsoft over a buggy apple product anyday..
Only reason I'm using the iPhone is because I won it (not complaining about that) lol

Re: WTB: macbook air deals anyone?
My iphone 4 gave me problems at the 8 month mark, was still under warranty, got it replaced, replacement had a dead spot on the screen, replaced that and now have had enough with the fragility of god-damn apple products. Selling my iPhone 4 and going back to my trusty Nokia n900 running maemo linux as the main OS and dual-booting it with android, fun to mod and reliable.

Re: WTB: macbook air deals anyone?
Why would you buy an iPad at all. It's not efficient OR effective, it's just a huge iPhone (iPhone LOL more like iPhail), you could do so much more with a laptop.
I would sh*t in my hand and smear it on any apple product, though it's not worthy even of my feces.
