Anyone know this car ?
Went to see thiis little number today ,
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/1999-Mitsubishi- ... 3364cd6128
Wasn't too impressed , vague peculiar steering , vague peculiar brakes, vague lazy acceleration and some moody clearcoat in places, could be tidied up-- perhaps-- but the car left me with a vague uneasy feeling.
My cash stayed nailed in my pocket.
Anyone here had a look and formed an opinion ?

Re: Anyone know this car ?
looks like it's been in a sandwich and had a 'decent' repair job.
Front rad support is not the same color, rear quater looks a different color, as does front bumper.
And given it's in a yard, It would not surprise me.
And not for that price fr a GR.
Edit: why does a 5spd tip have a pre faceflift front on it? not even a kit front end...
Whole thing smells dodge, engine bay looks far look clean for its age, looks like fresh paint and some pressurised hose work on the engine..

Re: Anyone know this car ?
it aint a 99, looks like a GR
bet its done a ton more k's
and the rear end looks accident damaged,
wouldnt mind betting it prob is a 99 GX but its been smashed big time and front bar was replaced with a pre-facelift (97)

Unless theyve put a prefacelift front on it (in which case its probably been in an accident), thats no 99 model. probably complied in aus in 99. Definitely had a big hit up the back. That gap is huge.

Re: Anyone know this car ?
It's clearly been involved in a heavy accident.
Realistic price is about $4000-$4500, you would have to be stupid to pay nearly 10k when you can get a mint condition GPvR for that price :\

I would advise you to be very careful about buying a car from any dealer unless its a reputable one.
Also I take it you live in Qld looking at the add, it might pay you to find a nice forum member on here that you can bribe with some beer to maybe look at some cars with you.
