FTO AUSTRALIA

Just a quickie.
I've done some forum searching and either I am blind (likely), or don't know what to search for (also likely).
What dimensions of wheels (stud pattern, etc.) will fit on an FTO. I want to get 17s.
Just so I know when I am doing all my research...

5(studs)x114.3(I believe is the radius or diameter (distance from centre of the wheel ) <--- can't remember school maths ). and the offset is up to you, this all depends on how far you want it to stick out of the guard, or into the guard for that matter.

PCD (stud pattern) - 5/114.3 same as Falcon, Toyota, Nissan, Most Mitsi, and some Hondas 5 stud vehicles etc
Offset as follows

17x7 +42 or so
17x7.5 +40 or so
18x7.5 +40 or so
18x8 +36 or so

tyre size 17" = 215/40R17
18" 225/35r18

Of cousre you can change sizes slightly but this will change speedo slightly etc

damn iv had the same question wondering in my head, was just afraid to ask. because i thought i'd get told to use the search button which i did lols.
but just to add would rims with:
17x9 +38
17x8 +35
Fit because im eyeing a set at the moment.
and i'll know what sorta rims to look out for.

So the +40 means closer or further away from the guard? I.e. The higher the number the more it sticks out?

na other way lower offset further out it sticks

the 17x8 will but highly doubt the 9's will they would need to be very low maybe high to low +20 and doubt they will fit on front

Ok so I have a wheel that I am interested in getting. It is 17 x 7.5, 5 x 114.3 but only comes in offsets 33mm and 45mm. Just wondering, would these fit and/or is there a way to make them fit?

Brendon, for the rears, if you get 17x8, an offset of +5 ~ +10 would be skeetworthy based on my experience, but you will need to roll the guards

for the front, in 17x8 for example, the skeetworthy offset is around +12 ~ +17..

If you change the width of the wheel, these offset numbers will change...

Thanks Gholdy, but as I said the wheels I'm lookin at are those offset.. I'm thinking the 45might fit...

If it was me, i would get the +33

Even if it means me having to roll my guards (which i already did anyways.) Make sure the center bore is 67mm (if applicable)

+1 the 45's will sit way to deep under gaurds and may foul on the strut

I reckon 33 will fit without rolling required
