Because I am a proponent of nuclear power, I thought I would post this article here that covers the facts on what has happened in Japan.

Re: Facts about the nuclear reactors in Japan
An interesting read indeed.
I had no idea that was how they worked, so it's good to know!
also, yeah, that kinda stuff normally happens in movies *we planned for everything except....*
Scary to see it happen for once.

I'd build one in my back yard and claim the solar rebates at 68c a kWh if I could get my hands on some fuel rods.

I'm putting the finishing touches on a flux capacitor I have to power the large hadron collider I built. Got a minor problem with back yard space and getting to 88mph required to activate the capacitor.Dras wrote:I'd build one in my back yard and claim the solar rebates at 68c a kWh if I could get my hands on some fuel rods.
Looking at obtaining some dilithium crystals, but them Vulcans are seriously tight about loaning items for foolish adventures!
But seriously, nuclear is the way of the future. Out of all the G20 countries, Australia is the only member that hasn't gone this way.
