How do I locate and clean the throttle body/ISC??

Hi all,
I have to pump the accelerator for my FTO to start. Then when I am driving if I ever put the car in neutral (eg. stopping at lights) the revs go down and the car dies (occasionally it'll juuuust save itself and then hang around 4-500 rpm).
I tried disconnecting the battery to reset the computer, which fixed the problem for a couple of hours, but then it just came back.
After lots of searching these forums I presume that I need clean the throttle body/idle speed controller/stepper motor (not sure of the difference between these things, everyone seems to have a different opinion on them), and then if that fails, buy a new one (again, not sure which of the three).
A lot of the forums just say "Clean the throttle body". I'm not very experienced at this sort of thing. Could someone please post a picture of exactly where/what these things are and also how do I clean them??
Thanks so much.
Pete

Hey pete,
Could be your idle stepper i recently had a problem with mine aswell, I noticed after pulling it out giving it a good clean... placing back in and then going for about a hour drive and give it a little bit of a thrash while doing it... fixed it. Takes about 15 mins to change over and depending where u live i might be able to give you my spare one i picked up from pick n payless that i didnt end up needing, and if you like i can change it for you or show u how to change it.

I had the exact same problem. I changed the whole throttle body. Did it myself in like 30m to 1hr. I ripped the throttle body of from a fto at a wrecker he chargwd me $130 for it. But I was lucky since the stepper motor that came with the throttle body was new. The car works like a charm now
Hope that helps

Mate, that would be the best, I'm in Melbourne though
Any chance you could take a picture of the idle steppers location? And also how do I clean it/what do I clean it with?
If that doesn't fix the problem would you be able to send your spare one in the post? I'd gladly pay for postage and a bit extra
Thanks again.

Oh does a bad ISC cause stalling problems? Would this ISC cause my engine to tick as well when cold? I think it's caused by the ISC as well? What ya reckon?

No, that's only appliable to Falcons.
P.S. Stop trolling.
