My old FTO vs Horse

Post by pete_gpx »

Well, after trading my FTO for a Sileighty, I was kind of looking forward to seeing my old car around the place and given a little more of the love and attention it deserved... However, I guess that won't be the case.

The guy I sold it to (Tim) hit a horse on the M1 (highway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast for you non-QLD people) at 110km/h. Luckily, Tim is injured, but alive, with two skull fractures and a few cuts and bruises. How he survived, I honestly don't know. The pictures say the rest.

f**k that's a mess! Hope the owner of the horse gets a massive big fine and a firm kick up the arse! Animals and roads don't mix.

Great to hear he'll be alright. All cars should have roll cages imo.

Jeez it's all doom and gloom on here today. Just read about Si from FTOOC UK and now this. Glad this one has a happier ending though.

The driver of the car behind him said Tim was traveling at the speed limit when two horses ran out onto the road. Being night time, he had no time to react.

Agree completely with the roll cage comment. The horses were micro chipped and the owner has been found. Apparently they escaped from their paddock and wandered along until they found the highway... And the front of an FTO.

That's nasty. I can see his face molded to the roof.
Should've given traffic updates if there's any horse reported missing adjacent to highway next time.

The stereo surround still in good condition :D

Loss of an FTO
But atleast no loss of human life.

Unbelieveable to see that amount of damage.
Thought the roofs in these cars would have faired better given the shape (though they are older)

And seriously guys, picking the car apart for your spares.....
come on... you may be kidding around, but... I don't think in this case it's in good taste.

Sorry man, thought it might cheer up the thread a bit.
But i'm sure it's a re-birth for him and he'll live like there's no tomorrow on every single day onwards.
