Aerocraft Kaze group buy (hopefully)

Post by Taz »

Hey guys,
Been doing some research on some sick body kits, and Aerocraft Kaze have a a very nice fto they have mocked up for show.
They do a bonnet, and front and rear bars,as well as skirts and front and rear fenders - the whole nine yards, although they dont sell them as a whole kit, have to buy each individually - which is around 3.5-4k + postage from japan
Here is a few pictures:http://www.rhdjapan.com/aerocraft-kaze- ... -fto-59776

Not sure about the rear bar complying with australian laws to do with the exhausts if you would choose to do yours the same way, but they all look amazing none the less.
These are from RHD japan, and shipping would be intense to buy all individually, so if anyone else wants to group buy this to get some excellent (possibly even free if we can sweet talk the joint) postage then post what u think here.
They are some pretty crappy pictures as a whole so here is the car in the full kit:

I have never posted links in these forums yet, so forgive me if they are wrong or invalid :?

Just added up prices and it's 4214k for the fenders/bumpers/steps and 4231 for shipping lol which is more than the parts themselves,
now they do mention that wholesale is available, so i assume if we get some numbers we can probably get a full set each for im hoping 5-5.5k per head.
Ill go ahead and contact them and get quotes if we can get the numbers!
Cheers,
Taz

Trust me its to low and scraps on every thing
Also they won't get to you in one bit more like 20

You would be better off making all custom stuff would be cheaper

How low does the kaze front sit? less than 100?

Prob with the kaze also is the front sticks out a lot so where as other fronts don't your bumper hits way befor the wheels get to the incline to lift the front
Here's my thread about it has pics

Depends on your suspension, wheels and tyres dude. Do you have standard front bar atm?

yea only standard front bar, although aftermarket suspension that has been lowered to 120 with the stock 16's. im sure if the front is going to drag a bit i can always heighten the car a few mil? can it work that way? i know jack s**t when it comes to suspension lol so treat me as a complete noob on that topic :?

holy crap duffman, had a look at those pics of the bumper.... you can see the side skirts all fine then the front sticks down a good 40-50mm, like the line of the car suddenly drops or something. I wouldnt have a shot at trying to get that complied up here, so i guess the bumper is out - and i never really liked the rear bar anyway - but im still keen as hell on the bonnet and fenders atleast, unless there is a way around that front end, but its not looking promising :(

Only way is to cut it like in the other pic some one posted
That's what I plan on doing taking a few cms out of it
There are a few things you can get here in aus 1 is the facelift front bar or you could go custom
Hood can go same as kustoms in fiberglass or cabon
Rear bar there's the one dstocks made or custom
Side skirts vs dc few others or custom
Boot carbon or choice of stock spoiler version r spoiler vs spoiler few others or custom

Atm I have dc skirts kaze front carbon boot ab hood wouldn't mind kaze fenders but I think it would be cheaper to go custom

huh, that link is broken, but you really got me thinking, if it is going to be that cheap to go custom, i always thought it would of been cheaper buying something relatively mass produced - it would make sense rather than designing and making something custom...but anyway - i still really want the kaze hood n fenders - they all just look so sexy, specially the rear fenders bringing it out an inch or two...
would be awesome to get a group buy for the hood at the very least but meh, will see what happens.
The only thing i have to do now is decide what comes first: body kit/exterior or supercharger/engine =/ such a hard choice

Well if your looking for power depend on your funds check out the turbo section

Also there may be a turbo group buy coming up from the qld admin
Also guy from uk is moving to aus and he had a supercharged fto over there and has the designs for the brackets so that could turn into group buy also
Turbo kit will be 7k or so not sure bout supercharger

Custom would prob be cheaper then buying kaze and importing it all
I think if some one took the time to have custom fenders made up there would be a bit of interest in a gb depending on the style
Azza or dstocks may get around to getting some made one day atm azzas getting the spoilers done

Actually, probably the cheapest way to go about it would be to buy one, get it sent over and then get a mould made of it. That is how ive dont the Factory Ts front and the custom rear. The fibreglasser I work with will do the mould for nothing if you can get 10 buyers...... And hell sell it to you for much less than the original cost + postage.

Same goes for the fenders and the wide arch kit......
