question is how bad is the damage did you talk to them about what would need to be replaced it didnt look that bad in the pics

i know i wish i had just bought another corolla and transfered every thing into that one would have been cheaper and a lot easyer

sucks bout the car though i think its bullshit that some one else damages your sh*t and you suffer from it
what ever happened to you break it you buy it same rule should aply you smash a done up car the car should be fix the same as it was befor

mr2 spyder is on my list when i was getting my car.
Though some don't like the looks of it, but it's shitt hot to me. (hotter than fto/supra/silvia/sky.line/evo)

However, note that it got a shitt lousy 1zzge 1.8l vvti engine :facepalm2:
unless you can get one fitted with 2zz , that's the one with vvtl-i (mivec/VTEC YO!!!!! equivalent) which gives an extra 40bhp over the 1zz making a total of 180bhp. (it's what inside lotus elise)

You'll definitely miss fto if you go for 1zz mr2. Yeah, it's much lighter but 1zz will still give you shitt.

Hey,

Dont rule out buying it back and fixing it. The damage from the photos wasnt that bad, so it would be easy to get back on the road. The insurance company would have quoted brand new parts for the repair and thats why it was written off. If you get someone to do it with second hand panels and parts, you could very well come out ahead.

To give you an idea of how you can get the best price, one of the Canberra members (muchacho32) had his car stolen and run into a tree. He was offered 4K for the wreck. He ended up passing up on that price (It was a little high IMO). The car then went to Pickles Damaged car auctions. I ended up winning the auction at $2300. Now if you can get an indication of how much it would cost to repair it yourself, and take this from your payout from the insurance company, that will give you an indication of how much you have to buy the car back with. You can then either take their buy back offer, or wait till it goes to auction and buy it back from there.

Hope this helps
