Idle motor...

Post by Trish »

Hey guys, I need some help.

Having some issues with my fto at the moment.... having probs starting it (NRMA told me I needed a new battery, replaced it, still having probs starting it) Apparently now I've been told its the idle motor which I've booked in to have serviced on Friday....

This could all be true but there's one thing that I've noticed which might be connected to this issue - its a long shot but does anyone know what an orange light (with a picture of a rectangle) which flashes up when you hit the brakes a little hard means... wish I had the fto manual and it usually flashes up a little too quick for me to tell you exactly which one it is but its a little orange light on the right side of the dash.

1) warning light on dash when braking hard = low winscreen washer liquid

2) idle probems = quite complicated - done wanna bore you with too much mumbo jumbo but in a nutshell, let the mech take care of it... ;)

Hope that helps to a degree LoL... ;)

Yeah that orange light is the washer bottle. Mine has been lit up for the past month. Couldn't be bothered filling the bloody thing but it also makes my dash look a little bit more interesting.
