Pretty sure it produces less...

FTO GPX 0-100km in 7.5 seconds
Prelude VTiR 0-100km in 8.9 seconds

Why change to a less powerful engine

On a private track I raced a manual VTiR with my tip GPX and the Prelude was at least a car length behind by 100km/h.

If your goning to change engine, you go something that has massive potential. What your thinking is like putting a yaris engine in hyundai getz, sure you can do it but why. Thats not an upgrade its just going sideways.

You'd e better off staying with the mivec, spending no money on it an when your off your ps drop an Evo motor into it.

Sorry but
I think you need to get more hard driving under your belt so you can work out how to drive an FTO.
When it comes down to it any car can beet another car as it comes down to drivers and how well they know there car.

"VTEC YO!!!!! YO!!!" and mivec is same thing.

No point in swapping to an engine which is so similar in power, your best bet would be an evo 4g63.
