EOI - Ultra Racing Front Swaybars

Post by Bennoz »

Hey guys,

Seeing as Whiteline are no longer making these swaybars, I've approached the guys @ Ultra Racing to see if they would manufacture an off the shelf item.
The answer was yes, but they need an initial buy of 10 to justify tooling cost & setup.

It will be an upgrade (in size) and at this stage the size has yet to be determined. The standard size is 16mm, the Whiteline was 18mm, we could go as far as 20mm
depending on what they think (that may be too big, I dunno.)

So I just wanted to get a see of hands, of who might be interested.

Remember, this is not a strut brace, ie not the one that sits just above your engine. This is a swaybar and goes down on your front subframe (quite the cock to install.)

Cheers,
Ben

Why couldn't this have happened a week ago, I would have been very interested in fronts.

If a group buy for rears goes ahead, i'm in.

Yeah ben, I have been putting off working on my undercarriage for quite some time. Let me know the price and if I can afford it I am in.

Dunno about price yet guys, at this stage I now have to give a sample to them (which I might just have in a car in my garage...)

And quite right about steel quality vs size. These are generally made out of the same stuff springs are made from (funnily enough they call it spring steel) & wont know much more till I get a sample to the sales rep.

At this stage I would image prices would be the similar ato other vendors, something around the $250 mark. Obviously I'll press for best possible price.

Ben, my swaybar is broken in one point, if this is not an issue for the sample then I am happy to donate it.
