Hydrolic Timing Belt kit (i need one)

Post by renzkuken1 »

I need a v6 mivec gpc FTO hydrolic timing belt kit for my car and need it really quick. THe base mechanic said he can get one form repco for 375 by monday along with rear engine mount for 80 and passenger side boot cap (or whatever it's called)

Can anyone else suggest anything else? And what should i do with installation? His ball part guestimate was 1200 for full isntallation.

Opinions and help please.

Chris.

I don't know a of a full 'kit'

I'd get the tensioner, tensioner bearing & idler bearing from here:
http://www.meek.com.au/index.php?act=vi ... oductId=30
http://www.meek.com.au/index.php?act=vi ... ductId=349

Also the engine mount insert:

Your mechanic will need to press this into your existing mount housing. For more information on that, see here:

For the belt itself I'd walk into your local Auto One / Super Cheap / Repco & ask for a Gates T987 belt (232 tooth)

Also helpful if you use the search button on this forum too champ. This stuff has been covered a bazillion times before ;)
