What dat ka ?

Post by basho »

I have no idea of the production sequence of the FTO or of the model differences, DEA3 , GPX , etc the only thing I know for sure is--I dunno.

As another example I thought that the last cars were produced in 1997 yet I see cars advertised as being 99 and even later .

If anyone give me a link to the info in order that I may educate myself it would be much appreciated.

DE3A is the chasis number/id I believe.

And production ended in 2000, i'll grab a link for you.

Couldn't find the one with the different models.

Thanks for that most heplfull , I'm guessing but I think after reading the link that the DEA designation may also identify the upgrade in 97 when the lights/indicators were moved and the nose intake made larger--only a guess though.

Yep 97 onwards is the facelift version.
94-96 is pre-facelift.

Nope, DE3A are 2.0lt / DE2A are 1.8lt (but could be wrong hehe).

Definitely not linked with facelift though. 95 GPX is DE3A, that's pre facelift.
