GPX coil packs

Post by Gholdwayne »

Where do you find aftermarket or brand new standard coil packs for a gpx? The ones i find on the net are 2nd hand, or im not sure if its a set. Just looking for ones that will be reliable for the next 100,000k's or more.

Thanks...

i was hoping it was in a set, but i might think about it. Its a bit pricey though. oh well. I dont really need new ones, the ones on my car are just damaged where it contacts with the spark plug seal when someone previously did a dodged job.

I thought the magnecor ones are the ignition leads, i was looking for the actual coil packs, the 3 that's on the front bank.

I could be wrong, but I dont think you can get aftermarket coil packs for the FTO. Ive got 2nd hand ones and can get new ones. Not sure what the cost one the new ones is though as I have never got a quote on them.

Cannot seem to find the coil packs from Camskill.

Ok, now I am a little worried on where to get new ones, and the cost. :(

Dstocks and Singapore/Malaysia might be the next best bet.

Previous owner of my car replaced 2 of those and I think they cost the bomb. He never pass me the receipt for the work done though. :(

Proton has a pretty current car model with the same engine, but minus the Mivec part, and the Galant was sold in Singapore.

If it aint broke don't fix it. They are not cheap to replace.

No such thing as aftermarket unless you go to individual coil packs - which requires a stanadlone ECU to run.

^ Dont know if i should be desperate dwayne, but the boys from diy day has seen the condition of my coil packs, doesnt seem too bad though, its just the rubber bits that contact with the sparkies' seals, the way the previous mechs put them in, was done with less care than supposed.
