What Wheels and tyres should i get for my FTO?!?!?
Hey going to buy some new wheels and tyres for my FTO but didnt wanna gain any height as the veilside bodykit lowers the car down just under 120 mm anyway but was thinking some 17's with the right profile tyre as to also not throw my speedo out.
dont mind if they show a bit of rotor and caliper, no prefrence to colour but if it was black it would need another colour through it like red. dont want chromies would like to keep some performance and hopefully not a heavier rim(
would like to get out of this with change of $1200 if possible so am happy for any links to be posted up for me or places i should try including prices. constructive information appreciated

Stock FTO rims and rubber = 16kg's
As for new rims only you can say what you want and like.

Well the first link as soon as I looked at it said Holden / ford to me.
The 2nd one I would have to see a Photoshop pic of them on the car to really tell.
But like I said befor it's what you like not other ppl.

Best thing to do is go for a drive down to some places and have a look at the rim books they have.
If you find somthing you like wright down the rim code so you don't forget it, and have a think about it.
Don't rush into getting the first set of rims you see.
I have been looking for two years now and still to this date have not found a good set that I want to put on the car.

Re: What Wheels and tyres should i get for my FTO?!?!?
For wheels alone, $1000/- landed might be do-able.
Project D wheels from Taleb Tyres <info@talebtyres.com.au> seems to be pretty cool, and they have black and silver ones from memory.
They can supply cheap chinese tyres for about $100/- to each wheel
Toyo Proxes4 tires add an extra $140 on average to each wheel you buy + higher postage costs.
Tyres:215x45x17
Wheels: 17x8
Offset is +35mm
I did all these enquiries about 2-3 months ago, before I ran out of cash due to engine issues.
Another forum member bought the wheels(only) off them too, khunjeng, so they definitely fit.

Should be able to get a set for around $1200 at the right places. Available in white, black, chrome etc. with different coloured lips. Reasonably light as well from what I remember when I was researching them for my FTO. Might have to stretch the budget a little if you're looking for tires in that budget as well.

Re: What Wheels and tyres should i get for my FTO?!?!?
hey thanx for the info everyone. got a price from bob janes for http://www.bobjane.com.au/wheelset-deta ... pecscbrak2 (black with red) $1350 with 4* $120 tyres on it. but they look pretty tacky like some1 got a red permanant market aqnd drew around thje outside haha
yea those lenso rims looked pretty good was that price for 17s? id pay the extra for somthing that wasnt shite
live in vic yokta and they only seem to be in nsw but thanx anyway
probably not what im after custommods but thanx anyway
dont have to be black with red that was just 1 option but probably 5 spoke 17's either in black or silver (prob not that sh*tty chrome that peels after a few years though)

Yep those Lensos look amazing, but it depends on whether you like them, you have to live with them after all.

The Project Ds are the Lensos I mentioned and I was leaning to the silver ones, not the black ones, shown here, but price should be about the same.
Landed will be more expensive for me, so it should be cheaper for you, hopefully.
