I think I have a cursed FTO!
I did a 'simple' radiator coolant change the other weekend, which I think went smoothly, however, since then, the Engine System Warning light comes on after about 10 seconds from starting, and stays on. Its the top left light on the dash, orange. I haven't done the ECU error code thing (tried years ago and didn't get it working so flagged), but, what on earth could have caused that?
When I did the coolant change, I jacked the car up, drain the coolant, removed the pipe from the engine to the radiator and stuck a hose into the radiator to try to clear as much of the old coolant as possible (it was coming out very brown..). I did also stick the hose where you take the cap off and ran water through the engine, which also removed a lot of old coolant. I think that has done something however.
Now, when idling, the car 'surges', from near stalling (and if its cold it will stall) to maybe 2500 rpms.. like I'm tapping the accelerator.
Any clues as to what I may have done, or what may be broken now.......
Cheers!

Did you bleed the air out of the system at the end?

You have either knocked a plug out or got water in an electrical circuit. Id start with checking all fuses and check all connectors are connected.

Thanks guys, I didn't bleed out the air at the end (how do you that?..).
Quite possibly got water somewhere, wouldn't surprise me.. I'll check those things over the weekend when I have more time.
Thanks

Just thought I would update on the problem, there was loose wiring on the air flow meter (? I think that is what he said), which was causing the problems.. all fixed now
