[SOLD] 18x7.5 +42 Rays Gram Lights 57C (CHEAP)

Post by hugekim »

Hey guys these genuine Rays Gram Lights 57C are up for sale. They are very light for 18" at 8.8kg per wheel. For those who remember they were originally off Criss' car:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14936

I am selling them so cheap because 2 of the rims have some gutter rash on them. They are strictly only surface scratches so the structure of the rim is still as strong as you would expect from a Rays wheel. The new owner can get these fixed and looking like new for a couple hundred bucks, or simply just leave them (the rims are silver and the scratches are also silver so it blends in well)

The other 2 rims are in very good condition with only tiny scratches/marks on them.

Tyres are Maxxis MA-Z1 225/40/18 and Kumho 225/35/18. Both have decent tread left, I'd say at least ~60%

Interstate buyers welcome as long as they can arrange their own delivery. Price is $900 ONO but please be respectful and don't low ball.

God dammit. I would have bought these off you last week. Instead I've opted for an engine rebuild. Kill me!

Anyone else? I'm getting quite a bit of interest in these from people on Firesport who are coming to see them today (knowing Firesport users they will probably just try to lowball the sh*t out of me haha).

Would much rather keep these in the club... they've gone from Criss => Charlie => Me => ? ? ?

Are you serious bushido? You would know because I think I read that you had a look at them first hand back when Criss was selling them.

If they are actually replicas then I apologize to everyone. It was an honest mistake I was under the impression they were genuine. How can you tell btw, is it because there aren't any stickers on the inside of the wheel? I thought they had just faded over time...

Once again sorry if it looked like I was trying to rip off people, it wasn't my intention.

No problem Hugekim.

I was told by the original owner of this car, Clive (before Criss bought the car) that they were replicas when I went to have a look at the car. At that time I was in the market for an FTO and his was immaculate. The wheels being replicas didnt turn me off the car though.

When I went to have a look at the wheels I honestly didnt look too closely. I tried to fit them on my car but I didnt like the offset and they wouldnt fit without me having to playing around with my coilovers.

Ok now as to why these are not genuine ones, refer to the picture below. These wheels in a +42 offset don't have this bit so raised. The spokes in fact sit more flush with the rim lip.

They should look like this. Notice the point where the spoke meets the lip. These are 18 x 7.5 +42 as well btw.
