Apexi super AFC II - is it compatible with a FTO?
I was just reading through some of the posts from other topics, and one person mentioned that the SAFC II isnt compatible with an FTO. Is this true?? I just bought one and havent fitted it yet.
can it still be wired up? or there is no way that it can be attached?

Hi Guys, has anyone fitted this yet?
I am driving at 5speed Tip 1998 GPX.
I searched on the Apexi Jap and US website, both mentioned fitting possible to mivec autos up to 1997, technically meaning only 4speed tips.
No mention of 5speed tips from 1998 onwards on their fitting list.
Any clues here?
Any advise apreciated!
Cheers!
Sam

since the time i had the orginal topic posted, i have had it installed for about a month now. Works very well, but it would be recommended to get someone that knows what they are doing to install it. U dont want to blow a FTO computer.
I had it install by a good friend of mine that does installs for a living so i had no problems , but watching him fiddling around with my computers wires did get my heart racing a bit.

Ic...cos i have a 5spd tip and the apexi documentation on the website does not have any info on fitting them to 5spd tip mivecs...FTOluv wrote:i got a 4 speed tip.
As Ruchi said VAFC is a more specified controller for VTEC YO!!!!! and MIVEC cars but the SAFCII can give u around 5-7kw at the wheels proven.
*looks at Ruchi* see we do agree on some things
I emailed apexi jap...hope they understand english...

I prob go with SAFC becos i done 1 2 alter the mivec settings...

Thats true what Ruchi said *oh my god, second time we agreed Ruchi
* u would need an intake and exhaust for decent results but usually someone that buys that would have put those mods on already.
i would probably still go for the SAFCII because u can always use it on yr next car. VAFC is restricted to VTEC YO!!!!! and Mivec engines.
