Can anyone give me a breakdown of revs and speeds that the gearbox should be shifting up at?
My gearbox seems to be slotting me into 5th at 60km/h.
Normal?

Re: 5 Speed Tiptronic Owners.
Yep, that sounds right.
50km/h it will stay in 4th, anything beyond that 5th
At 110km/h it will sit at 2800/3000rpm

That's true.SchumieFan wrote:depends oh what kind of driving you do also

I'm not certain exactly how the invecs works, but didn't think it played a roll in 'when' the car will shift and at what rpm
I thought it was simply a timing factor for the throttle use, etc.
invecs is as easy to explain as a turbo
intake, exhaust gas, witch craft, go faster

Re: 5 Speed Tiptronic Owners.
From what I have read INVECS-II monitors you as you drive in tip mode, then mimics what you do at certain rev points. If your box is in good condition (mine isn't) reset the auto ecu and try it out; drive around for a few minutes ensuring you are driving smoothly. Then stop and do it again but in drive (not tip), the theory is that it will change as you do.Astron_Boy wrote:That's true.SchumieFan wrote:depends oh what kind of driving you do also
