Quote for Anti Roll Bar bush...whats fair?
Hey guys my anti roll bar bush has gone whack, so I got it inspected and I got a quote of $1050 for 4 new sway bar links installed or 3 second hand and 1 new unit installed for $695.
This is the first time I’ve had this issue happen so I don’t know if this is a fair price…sounds a little steep to me.
Thoughts?

the price you have been quoted is a huge rip off ... they are pretty much trying to charge you $900 for 2 hours max labour
the front and rear droplinks are piss easy to change as well as the rear ARB bushes .. the front bushes are indeed a pain to get to but i would imagine it to be easy if it were up on a hoist
you can get bushes and links all round from camskill for $100

yeah..the front arb looks like a nightmare to replace....probably you r paying %80 of the money to labour.
One question, i spotted the front droplink on RHS is torn and some grease leaked out. How serious can it be if i leave it alone and not mend it?

Huge rip off, mate.
CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

dam, they actually specified that brand new bushes and links are 200 each....so x 4 would be 800 + labour.
does anyone know where in melbourne i can get the job done for a reasonable price?
Is it even worth fixing or can the noise become even louder and annoying.

Stay away from them mate. They are trying to bend you over.
Buy the parts yourself from a place like camskill and then ask a few different suspension places how much they will charge to put them in.
Depending on what model you have, an example of the parts would be below...
Front swaybar(ARB) bushes
Rear swaybar(ARB) bushes
Front droplinks
Rear droplinks
All these parts come to about $105 + postage (actually less when you ask them to take off VAT) ...so maybe no more than $130 to your door.
The noises will continue to get worse if you leave them, and replacing these components will most likely make the car feel a lot tighter and more responsive in the bends with less body roll.

I've taken a closer look at the links to camskill of each part.
From the product model descriptions it looks like it would suit my fto model, however was hoping someone that has purchased before from camskill could confirm.
Appreciated.

As long as you buy the parts that specify "pre-facelift" you'll be fine.
Trust me. Most people in this club buy from camskill with no worries.
