Is there an easy way to increase the idle speed of the motor?
I have replaced my alternator and the new alternator has a larger pulley on it that the original. Larger pulley means the alternator spins slower at idle but also reduces the load on the motor.
I am happy with the alternator so, is there a way to bump up the idle to say 1000 rpm so that I get a bit more juice out of it at idle? I have tried the idle adjustment screw but the ECU adjusts the stepper motor and timing to compensate.

are you sure you getting the right screw?

no need for adjusting a fuel mixture screw, just adjust the IAC located on the front side of the throttle body
You can take the tension off the 2x8mm bolts enen while the engine is running to get the right RPM and tighten the 2 bolts up and BoB's your Aunty, Because Uncles Like to dress up on Friday Nights
Just Note the Engine Light may come on while fiddling not to worry, adjust to desirerd RPM and turn ignition off and start her back up again and el' Presto no Engine Emiite'
On another not im not 100% sure if there may be a difference with Manual/Auto so have a go and see how it goes.
