Hey guys i just pulled out my air con condensor.. my air con has not been working for a few years.. when i went to get it re gas'd there was no pressure.
please look over my pics and tell me if i need a new air con condensor.. on one side there seems to be a dent in the piping im not sure if its leaking from there but it looks ok ... and one of the other side the piping is a little bent.
and the main pic of the condensor its a bit damaged on the bottom.. (will that affect it )
thanks for input..
should i repair ?? or buy new ... or maybe dstocks has one lying around ??? lol
Get a second hand off dstocks. You could get it tested but you could probably get one off dstocks for that price

you can but for the effort and probably the price it would be easier cheaper to get a secondhand one off dstocks

I don't even know where it is to replace it lol... (new to mechanics) all I know is the pipe connected to the air conditioner is broken near the passenger side
its in front of the radiator.. just d.c the 2 hoses. and the screws holding the radiator in .. preety straight forward it just lifts out.. it was my first attempt im a newb also
Yeah, that condensor looks rooted (the connecting pipes are twisted to buggery - which is the most common place for them to fracture.) If you find a replcement somewhere cheap, let me know. The misses car needs one as well.
To remove it, you dont even have to take the radiator out, just take to 2 top brackets off it & push it towards the engine. In behind it, you'll see the condensor. Undo any lines attached to it & there's a couple of rubber mount points towards the top of it that need undoing too. Jiggle it towards the radiator & up. It'll come free with a bit of elbow grease.

Dstocks has one on hold for me but having to put this new bar and skirts on with the end of summer means im not really in a hurry for it so your welcome to it Ben just let him know
Thats the receiver / dryer unit. Looks like a poor connection to it... not to mention the bit of rubber hose used to block a leak on the pipe that goes from it to the firewall.
Pretty sure I've posted up the part number for the receiver dryer before. Its a generic nippon denson Mitsubish thing.
