Random Intermittent Electrical Problems

Post by Supplanter »

I know a few people are experiencing this (myself included), so here are the recall issues relating to them:

My symptoms are:

Interior lights don/t work/alarm doesn't register that doors are open

Tachometer works when it feels like it

Right mirror electrics don't work

Has anyone had any success in fixing the problems?
LED ALL the things.

Yeah i suffering at them moment but it all happened after the final tune of the turbo project so I just thought it was something caused by the install. However after reading through those recall it makes me wonder when they were install the ecu (in the glovebox, see glovebox recall) they may have shorted a wire....Will have a look tonight when i get home.

Tachometer works when it feels like it
You sure that isnt a dodgy sensor. Ive had a few people replace them because the tacho stops working.

I wasn't sure if the problems were related, was just listing them all :(

How easy is the sensor to replace?
