Ok...Where do I get silicon hosing (like the stuff UAS use with their kits) and all the other bits and pieces such as clamps?
Also, what sized hosing will I need?
What about the price, any good?
Thanks

Well, by the sounds of it, your gunna wanna mount the start of the pipping at your bumper so you got a source of cold air. Iv seen that pipping you get with intake systems for sale at tuning shop for like $60 pretty handy but pretty cheapish sorta stuff.. id say deffinatly go silicon hosing or alloy pipe.
Silicon hose would probs be the best cheapest option.. The alloy pipping + wielding for mine was super expensive.
Or.. Another good option is get straight alloy pipe and use silicon bends..
In terms of where to mount it.. use your imagination i guess... i ripped out my parker bulbs and mounted the inlet at the opening free'd up by it.
As for the actual pod filter, you could try make some kind of enclosure, or just have the cold air run into the area where the pod filter is..
a lot of info there, so i hope that helps.. if you got any other questions you could pm me or something, iv used just about every intake setup there is...
Silicon Pipe, Bends and clamps you can get from tuning shops and Autobarn.

I use flexible hosing (from autobarn etc) from bumber to stock airbox which I modified slightly to be able to contain HKS air ram filter then its a straight pipe with a couple of elbows to Throttle body.
You can get silicone elbows from ebay which is cheapest option very expensive at autobarn etc Clamps are very generic and can get anywhere

Shouldn't as the angle of rain to get in there, then up the pipe won't cause a problem...mosti wrote:Ok sweet, thanks guys that's pretty much everything covered.
Just one last thing....
Is having the pipe start at my front bumper going to be a problem on a rainy day?
You will however, need to be careful about driving through deep puddles ..
I just had to add it ......

Your better buying the USA kit over the ebay link, however I still think the UAS is over priced, for what you get.....IMO.

You can still go through puddles like that without any problems. I have a feed under my bumper at the moment and went through a deeper one than that last Sunday. The feed would have been under water. The trick is to not go through it fast (which is a really bad idea anyway). As long as the spped isnt high, the water wont go vertically up the pipe into the air box;

Ok so I'll be purchasing this soon. Works out to be $100 cheaper then the UAS kit and looks a whole lot better imo

After seeing power gains from various setups, by far the best is the UAS pipe. I dont care for all the other bits of kit that come with it, just buy the pipe itself. Its good simply because of its throttling ability. It starts at whopping 4 inch mouth (for which you must get a 4 inch filter as opposed the 3 inch Uni Filter with adaptor that comes with the kit) and it reduces down to 3 inch at the TB end. I used a 4inch Super cheap special filter on the misses car with that pipe & it really hauls ass now.
The other benefit of the UAS pipe is its thickness. At almost 10mm thick, it keeps the hot air well away from the intake air.
