Changing spring..

Post by fto12345 »

Hello,

My car has been lowered and I need to put my old springs back in..

Does any one know who would be good people to go to and cheap?

Most places quote about $200 for the job.

Any one know any one who can do it for bit less??
I know I sound a bit like scrooge but if you know what I have been through with this you'll understand...but that's another story..

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

let me guess - your front or back got pranged last weekend so now you need to put your original springs back on for insurance assessment reasons? ;)

hey
if you want to save money, go to kmart, buy a set of motorpro spring compressors for about 30 bucks and change them back yourself.... there are tutorials on the net to walk you through it step by step and its not a hard job at all....be ready to get your hands dirty though

Hello,

Thank you for that....
I was wondering if I can do them my self...

Would you by any chance tell me where to look for this tutorial?
Otherwise, I'll try and find it some where....
I heard it's quite dangerous if the clip comes off, it could take your head off!
So it kind of put me off it first...
Any opinions? has any one ever done this them self?

Thanks,
