i washed my engine bay last night and when i left the battery light came on it drive fine got home then went out in morning and then died while driving is it my battery or fuse or my alternator. also am i able to fix it my self,

Check the battery terminal connections.

just put new terminals on and still playing up i think its the alternator how do u check also how much for a second hand one,
i was quoted $330.

Could it be some mosture in something? I'd be thinking stepper motor if it died while driving but the battery light doesn't fit with that. Have you checked all the fuses?

Try to get the car to a sparky and get them to test it for you as they have all the test kits and can tell you 100% if it's stuffed or not.

Let the engine dry out and jump start the engine see what happens.

Check the bolt next to the air filter holding on the earth strap.
