Erm... apart the obvious stutter you've developed

... Did the new remote not come with instructions? They are all different & programmed differently. Usually it involves a combination of buttons followed by scanning the frequency coming from your existing remote.

Whoops...lol..nah they didnt come with instructions..might just take to jaycar and see what they can do. I just thought there might be a generic way to do for all fto's or something, but wasnt sure.

Depends if it is the stock CLS or an hooked up to an after market alarm.
If it's an aftermarket alarm kit, you'll need the installation manual from the alarm itself.
That's what I"ve got, and i've successfully programmed a new fob myself.
But yeah, process is different for every alarm unfortunately.

I'm pretty certain it is still the standard central locking system because I have the usual fto central locking issues. I might just get new motors etc in the door panels to combat the whole issue. Thanks guys

Thats not gonna solve your problem. Working motors or not, they dont receive the signal from the fob.

have you thought about alarm system with c/l and do away with the original fob completely? or do you already have one the works via original fob?

Ok so ill say the whole problem from the beginning.
I only have 1 central locking remote and the little plastic bit on the bottom which attaches to the keyring broke, so now the remote cannot be attached to the keyring and is seperated from all my keys. This is the reason i needed a new remote so now i have my old remote which is seperated from my keys and cannot be attached to the keyring and 2 new remotes which i got with new immobiliser and alarm, but only need the remotes cos i already have immobiliser and alarm and dont need another.

pretty sure if the fob isnt part of the key itself, its aftermarket!

You can't just buy new aftermarket remotes to program into your factory central locking. It doesn't work that way.
If you have bought an entire kit, just expecting to use the remotes... No. You will need to remove your factory central locking control unit, then replace it with the aftermarket one you have purchased.

Do you know where the factory central locking unit is located ?

under dash on driver side to left of fuse box, you will have to remove cover that runs under steering coloum and it is actually marked as central locking relay

just for a bit of thread ressurection in case your still having the same problems, the actual antenna and reciever for the central locking is in the back quarter panel plastic behind the driver. and no you cannot program aftermarket keys into it
