Hi RT, I see you're a newbie, so here's a little helpful advice...

You'll find that most common questions like this have already been asked and answered, so use the "search" link listed in the above menu.

You'll find a number of topics on oil in this forum with various recommendations of ratings and brands. There is no "best", so just read what others have said from their personal experience and use this information to help you choose.

ive tried 0W40, and now im on 15W50

as you can see there is no right weight, we dont get extreme cold temperatures in aus so i think 15W50 is fine... in the middle of summer i think you should be using the 50 and not 40 or 30... then again if its just for road use then its really not gonna make a lot of difference

so anything from 0w40 to 15w50 would be ok i guess, i would lean towards 0w40 side for winter and 15w50 for the summer, if you really wanna be pedantic

personally I'd recommend you do a search and read the various other posts on oil, as there's a lot of good information as well as peoples' various experiences using different brands and different ratings.
