WTB: I want a Fto for 5k- 6K VIC

Post by dannyma »

Hi guys I am still a student. 5K-6K is what i only can afford. I do not care about the mileage so much. Maybe 170000- 220000. of course, the lower the better. because i am thinking replacing a better engine after i get enough money.

hmmm, good luck with that. Anything at that price is going to have problems of one kind or another.

most of the fto's on carsales in vic are around 10-13k and some of them have quite abit of k's on them aswell

there was a guy selling a gpx for around 7k i think on here, but im pretty sure that got snapped up quickly.. you will not get a decent gpx for cheaper than that. so better save up abit more if you want something thats not going to break down on you in a week.

thanks mate i have inspected the 7k one. the engine was noisy and a bit oil leaking. the seller told me he has already made the engine sealed.finally, he reduced the price to 5000. i told him i hope my mechanic can check it again. he said he had no time at that day. next day, when i wanted to do the inspection, he told me the car has already sold to a man for 7k cash.

Sorry, not trying to be nasty, At that price range, you are definitely looking at the very bottom of the price range. Anyone selling their car for that price is either desperate (ie going overseas next week) or knows there is something seriously wrong with the car. I guess extremely high kms would be another reason. You are better of aiming at around the 9K mark unless you get extremelt lucky.

I paid 6 grand for my manual GPX... Had a few nasty surprises with it that I'm still trying to deal with.

      Be careful.
