Intake pipe hole?

Post by eddiii »

on my intake pipe, theres a hole (arnd 1cm or less) on the left side facing the engine, it use to has a blueish pipe blocking it and leads to somewhere, just wondering what is the purpose for it, and if i dont put it back, does it affect performance or the car?

its the breather pipe, if you don't connect it it'll suck a lot of dust into your engine.

Repco etc. will have one that will fit. However, I've been told that they are not legal, at least in Queensland.

^ yup, repco and super cheap have them. 'Crank Case Filter' is what I've always seem them sold as. Ebay is bound to have a decent selection.

Not legal? You chaps have some funny laws over there!

Universal, they usually have a couple of differernt fittings that come with them, so you just use the one that fits best

If its loose, just nip it up with a hose clamp.
