Site Outage

Hi all,

As im sure most of you addicts have noticed, the site has been down for about a week now. While I was OS, the database was hacked.

I've since created a new database & restored the last good backup to it. We were hacked on the 7th, the backup I've restored is from the 6th so we've only lost a days posting fortunately.

Im sure we'll find the odd problem with the site, so just let me know as you come across them & I'll iron them out as we go.

when I noticed the site was down. the first thing i thought was to post a thread and ask if anyone else is having the same problem...

even googled "what happened to ftoaustralia" out of desperation lol

Id just like to say on behalf of all of us, THANK YOU BENNOZ. Its a pretty tough ask to have to get something like this sorted straight after getting back from hollidays.

And sorry for hassling you on your break.

Oh & did I tell you I hate databases?

Well, I hate databases.

Oh, and I hate databases.

You'll probably notice a few changes I've made already. I've updated the questions & answers in the spam filter, as thats where they got in. Lesson learnt is not to put the answer in the question!

I've also changed all the admin password & the database connection accounts & passwords. I've also applied the latest nuke patch. Have also set the database to backup daily & dump onto my pc.... so I dont have to wait 3 days for the host to supply one

Lol....checking this site everyday and not working i thought there was something wrong with my comp so was full checking firewalls and anti virus stuff to see if it was blocking it lol

The only database system you should hate with a passion is Oracle.

And dstocks got a lecture regarding security and default passwords. He may pass it on to you Bennoz, but I never give up a chance to lecture him since he loves doing it to me
