Head Light Query

Post by mushilea »

Hi guys!

I was wondering if there is any way, and if it is legal, to remove the pearlescent or opaque covering on the Low beam part where my HID's are.

The High beam doesn't have them, and it looks like they are restricting the HID's light =(

Has anyone replaced their glass lens with one that lets more light through?

and thats a bad thing? =)
Isn't low beam aimed lower to the ground than high beam? Hence it doesn't dazzle people?

What Kelvin HID you're using???

mines is fine....

I'm using 8000K...

bear in mind the higher the kelvin the less light you get

the high beam and low beam are angled almost the same just that low beam has the lens preventing light from blinding other drivers

it is possible to change the lens but really a lot of effort and finding something suitable where a proper HID kit and nice clear light covers should suffice

im thinking the lens is to focus the light beam, otherwise it will probably just spread out everywhere.
my motto; do nothing, then rest.
