to sell or not to sell ??? HELP!!!

Post by Baby_Girl »

a lot of people around me are telling me to sell my car but im not sure i mean i love her she is my baby, n at the moment there is a couple of things wrong but not major (then again whos car doesnt have problems?)
the current problems im having with mechanics is
1. im a blonde female
2. no one really wants to touch a fto "just in case"
3. finding parts n someone to help

im wanting to paint her n i have a friend who will do it for nothing (custom colour n everything its just the other stuff which is the hard bit.
everyone thinks i should just not worry about it n buy a new z4 bmw (this coming from someone who has owned a vk that did 9s down the quarter n a turbo monaro)
so i dunno someone help lol

hey don't listen to what other people say. If you love the car then that is all that matters. Hey your right every car has problems even brand new cars.
About the mechanic part talk to people that live in qld they wil give you somebody to take your car to and will not try anything dodgy. Hey about that paint job that sounds sweet haha can they be my friend to as I have to respray my car.
But what I say is if you love the car then keep it hun don't listen to other people.

well i know that the brakes can be fixed easy enough. might be brakes pads or the rotors are warped and arent perfectly round anymore like mine are. i just bought brand new rotors for 400 including green stuff pads.
Now what sort of problems are happening with the motor or do you just need a service?

well mmm then maybe you should see if IA4FRE will give ya a hand as he is in Qld unfortunately i am not. It sounds like your motor just needs a good service. IE oil change and things like that. I hope you get it all worked out would hate to see you sell the car.

pm if you ever need a hand
cheers mitch

List the engine symptoms and we'll brainstorm. That's partly what the forum's here for!

Been told the same as you more than a few times, especially over here where the FTO hasn't been thought much of in the past. Thought about it, and there's nothing that I'd buy instead, even a Z4. Well, OK, there are SOME cars that I'd want to buy, but that's throwing some big cash around... and even then I'd want to keep the FTO in the garage.

If you recon you'd love the Z4 as much, then go for it... but I know i'd regret it.
