is there a specific year and model fwd transmission from an fto that fits the 6a13tt? its cus im thinking about importing 1 over here to the u.s. but im not sure if there a specific one or just any tranny fits it

Any will fit, 4 or 5 speed tiptronic, or the 5 speed manual

The tips require some tom-foolery with the electrics if the engine was from a manual equipped donor car (usually to do with things like TCL, my car has an engine warning light always on because the ECU is expecting to see TCL)

Bennoz will no doubt post soon, he has the 5 speed manual, also RichardB does too and is running that 600+ hp one in the UK. There are others, I can't think of them off the top of my head...

Its an M5F42 gearbox thats the 5 speed manual. Just gotta be careful though, there a half dozen variations of it with slightly different internals like final drive ratio's & diff centres.

I am also using the 5 speed manual but I have a 4spd tip for sale including the 4spd tip ecu for it.
