Second hand Alpine S 12" subbie

Is something like this worth the money? I want some good bass but with decent quality too.

And for the price is it worth going second hand? Or should I just pop down to Jaycar and pick up a new one (with some new splits + 6x9's)?

Any things to look out for when buying used subbies/speakers etc?

i wouldnt go for a used sub unless you can get a demonstration that its in good nick before purchase....

Ad's been removed now, how much was it? Alpine generally have good reliability but yeah, some proof of it functioning fine first would definitely help
