engine noise? tappets?

Just wondering what are the tappets? one day while i was warmin up my car, friend was like "you should get your engine checked, should be the tappets" because it has those click click thingy noise when the engine is running. what is the tappets and if i dont fix the engine asap would it fuk up my engine? and around cost?

nah wont stuff engine
does it do it only on start up?

Depends how loud they are, if you cant put up with their noise then its not going to be cheap to fix unfortunately. If your willing to do the DIY for it then it'll be cheaper.

Thanks guys, i shall search it up, but maybe not DIY, not that great of a mechanic myself and dont want to make things worse ^^ i think i just need a major service since it just went past 90000kms ^^

yeah i got my major 100,000 service done at about 90,000Kms mainly cos tappets had been a little noisy for a fare while, doesnt do any harm to get the service done earlier than 100,000 and it makes a difference car feels much smoother after i got it done,

yip if ya got a major to do and your not to keen on it yourself then pay the extra and get it done in 1 hit if you can afford it
if not dont panic they can be done anytime as you dont need to remove timing belt etc to change these ;) and the timing belt or major service is much more important then noisey tappets
by the way do you have GPX or GR?
if GPX just need adjusting, if GR you need to replace

Something I have always forgotten to ask, is a 6A13 the same as the GR (as in replacement needed, I assume yes) or the same as a GPX (as in just adjust)? I am badly needing this done haha
