Trouble getting into 2nd and 4th while revs are up

Post by jonowong »

hey guys, hoping there is something wrong with my gear cables / gear linkages...

shifting into 2nd while revs are up around 4000 in 1st feels soft, theres no click into 2nd

downshifting from 3rd or 4th into 2nd, theres no click and feels very soft and sometimes bounces back out

shifting from 3rd up around 4000 feels into 4th feels soft and again theres no click

does anyone have any idea? done a search already

I recently had the selector cable in mine. It was feeling a bit tight and then I was going around a rather large roundabout in 2nd, changed to 3rd at about 5.5k rpm and snaaaaap - broke clean off down at the engine. :(
Got it fixed, found one good as new from a wrecked FTO.
