Federal 595s
Hi guys,
I'm trying to get a set of Fed 595s for my car. Bennoz, i just called Payless Tyres Chatswood like you suggested a while back.
I need either 16x50x205 or 16x55x205, and they reckon that these aren't available in Australia...?
Has anyone got these tyres, or know somewhere else that I might be able to try (in Sydney)?
Cheers!

Valandis, if you were in Sydney i'd definitely consider. But being down in Tas, any cost advantage is going to be well and truly lost by the time I get my hands on em.
Guess it's back to the drawing board in terms of tyre choice. I don't wanna upsize, so guys - what's the best tyre for 16x50x205 under $200 / corner?

They're a step down from the 595. They are still considered a UHP performance street tyre.

As I mentioned, I put these on my ex's Integra (as she only had 15's on it) and was really impressed. They're sticky buggers & I reckon they'd be half the price of Adrenalins & T1Rs.

Thanks mate - I checked em out.
Now that I'm working in the city though, I really have myself a weekender car. SO i figured I'll chuck some decent tyres on it, not too worried about the softness of the compound or the practicality of it all; if it's a really sh*t day with puddles all over the place, I'll just leave it in the garage
Having said that, apparently the T1Rs and RE001s both behave in the wet anyway.

If anyone is interested, I ended up going for Toyo Proxes T1Rs.
They've been on the car about 600kms now, and are pretty a-maz-ing.
The wet weather grip is fantastic... and as for dry weather grip... well I haven't been able to get it to understeer through a corner yet. Yes yes I know that's because i'm not trying hard enough, but whereas I used to understeer HARD with the old tryes on a particular corner at a particular speed, I've gone 10+ km/h faster through the same corner, and not even a hint of it!
Very happy, definitely recommended
