I looked into this a while back. IMO from the research I have done the 4G93T should be the easiest conversion you could do. This is the 1.8L turbo engine found in the GSR lancers. Since the GS model FTO had the 1.8L n/a version of this engine it should be a pretty straight forward swap as far as engine conversions go. That said there are still a couple of disadvantages to this swap.

What matters in Mitsi conversions is the Blocks
6A's of all varieties essentially bolt in (apart from the one round the wrong way)
Same with 4G's of all varieties (again apart from the one round the wrong way)

^^I understand this and not disputing that fact. However I said the 4G93T would be easier. This is because from my understanding this engine will bolt straight up to the FTO gearbox.rock_it wrote:Umm ... If you can put the 4G93T in, the 63T will go in too ... If a 4G93 bolts up, then an Evo 4+ 4G63 should too. The GS (with a 4G93 standard) also came with the INVECS II trans (didn't it? Someone please correct me if I am wrong, I really don't want to put this guy wrong).I8A4RE wrote:I believe you are correct jamie but my knowledge in this matter is not very extensiveJamie wrote:^^I understand this and not disputing that fact. You may need to modify some mounts for the clutch master cylinder and a few misc things, but the engine should bolt in.
(Jamie, sorry if I am wrong, but I am 99% sure

I will get it done... but that said, it is still a fair way off... need to get some more power first...Bennoz wrote:Yeah, yeah, just like you & every other 'AWD' pipe dreamerMr_Charisma wrote: I will keep it off the road until it is AWD .. it would probably take me a few years though![]()
I'll be long dead before anyone on here a. finds the 20 grand required to do it, b. actually does it!
I'd go with a new engine... 4G63T or 6a13tt for the win...

If you need good deal on photography, let me know.
