Since my second accident I have noticed the front right wheel rubbing against the plastic guard under the arch when I turn hard left or right.
I took the wheel off and removed the guard tonight and noticed several cables dangling where the wheel should be. I used masking tap to bind them with the other cables and will use some cable-ties when I get to work tomorrow.
Will the cable ties (or the masking tape, for that matter) be able to handle the heat from the brakes?
And what exactly are the wires for... would I need to worry if they got damaged?

Cable ties should be able to handle the heat from the brakes, seen the cable you mention isn't close to the brakes. I've seen ppl use cable ties need the engine, & the heat from the engine are usually higher then the brakes.Supplanter wrote: Will the cable ties (or the masking tape, for that matter) be able to handle the heat from the brakes?

Hmmmm.... i think any wires from any part of your car is important right? Thats why they are there at the first place.
