Yep, have a lot more control of what you can screw with. Cost more too though.

they are about the same cost to tune, and yes its the Interceptormr-charisma wrote:not that I'm gonna ditch the Unichip after I finally got my hands on one .. but how much are the Haltech Chips worth?
Are you getting an Interceptor? Or the new 2009 model unit?
What are the expected power gains likely to be?
and .. How much to Tune the Unichip vs the Haltech?

If you get lucky you could get one for about $650-$700 but you would be looking more at around $1000 aprox.
As for power I have been told it could be a 20 - 30kws but with a little luck dstocks or myself will be able to give you the 100% power from them

double the power and nearly double the price for tuning i would assume.mr-charisma wrote:not that I'm gonna ditch the Unichip after I finally got my hands on one .. but how much are the Haltech Chips worth?

with the unichip depending on your current mods and how healthy your car is, you can squeeze 8-13kw atw
the haltech can easily get you 20kw+
tuning the unichip is about 500-600$ ... i still havent gotten the time to install and tune my unichip yet

you have to think about what your end result is going to be
CHRISTIANITY: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

hmm.. for 20-30kw thats quite a bit of a jump ... might cost me a bit more, but maybe it's worthwhile spending the extra to begin with.. especially if the tune will cost about the same..
Do you need to get a pro to tune it with a special device or so? or are you trying to find out the ideal config for an FTO from Haltech themselves?
I know each car is different .. might have diff mods or whatever, but would it be theoretically possible to get the right mappings & then apply those as a base point to start from? it would be ideal if you only had to make minor tuning changes / tweaks to get it running optimally..
