'limp mode' and Diagnostic codes for Transmission 41 42 43

Hey Guys,
My car has decided to stay in limp mode eg. Stay in 3rd gear.
Checking the input and output sensor was the first thing I checked (hoping they were just dirty or loosing contract somewhere - no such luck)
I did a diagnostics codes check and the transmission seemsed to be the problem with the netural light flashing 41, 42 and 43, which are the 1st to 3rd gear ratio errors.
Does anyone know are these codes related to the sensors?
If so are new speed sensors easy to find?

Hi, According to the workshop manual which you can download from this site.
Code No 41,42,43 1st - 3rd Gear ratio does not meet the specification.
Probable causes-
Malfunction of Input Shaft Speed Sensor
Malfunction of Output Shaft Speed Sensor
Malfunction of Underdrive Clutch Retainer
Malfunction of Low and reverse Brake System
Malfunction of Direct Planately Carrier
Malfunction of Reduction Brake System
Changing the 2 sensors is probably the best place to start.
Hope you get it sorted and please keep us updated.

As above, the two senors are your best bet. Basically the output speed for a given gear is not corresponding to the input speed for it.

I am waiting to hear back when the transmission is pulled to bits but hoping it's just the clutches that are gone!

No codes with a goosed TC, probably the band things that can start to slip in the box, cant remember what they are called but knowing my luck probably something simple like... bands
