Headlight bulbs-which one is the brighhtest?
Hi, I just wanna ask if anione know a good set of light bulbs for the FTO, I've tried phillips and a few but they all turned out not to be bright. I've spoken to some of the people at autobarn & they say that the glass glabe covering the bulb is dimming the light, does anione experience this problem? Thanks heaps

The brightest and purest light will be from a HID system, the next best will be halogen, but if you get the ones which are tinted (to give the HID look) this will diminish the light.
If you don't want the expense of HID, go for untinted halogen globes, it will be brighter than the tinted ones, but the light will be warmer (more yellow), not the cooler blue/white light that the tinted ones provide.

I got this brochure at home, all about Phillips globes.
I've used BlueVision in my Ford, and i didn't notice much difference, but there are two other types that i would be interested to try.
>> VisionPlus: +50% more light, 10-20m longer beam, better reflections.
>> Premium: 30% more light but prices as standard.
>> Rally: 100/90W! Illegal! wow...
All those globes aren't covered in the blue colour thing... so i don't think that would reduce their performance.
They also have the PowerXenon HID, 6000K,.States that they are 300% brighter... i wonder what those cost...
Which Phillips bulbs have you guys tried?
There is another type, DiamondVision, does anyone know if these bulbs look blue??? Cos the brochure says white/blue...

I have HID 6000K on my S2000 and I can tell you its is about 3 times brighter than the FTO's. The light cuts off into a block shape rather than fadding, some people find it very hard to focus (such as my girlfriend). Aniways the light bulbs I ordered was the 30%+ (phillips), I will be getting it soon, I will post the outcome once recieved. I just noticed that all of the good bulbs do not come in HB4 (which really sh*ts me). My mate has the crystal vission on his pulsar and the result is amazing. It is a lot brighter and it produces a white clear bluish light similar to my HID.
