Does anybody know the best way to polish aluminium. I want to polish the intake and other bits and pieces. Any advice would be a big help.

ok well if its a smooth area that you want to do then half the job is already done :D
all you will need is a tube of autosol metal polish and a tin of brite shine cotton wadding polish.

take some of the brite shine wadding and place some auto sol polish on to it and polish away.
the area will go black as you are polishing do this for about 2 mins and then get a clean cloth and buff off, if not to your likeing then do again.

If its a ruff area then you will need to get your self some wet and dry sand paper starting from a 200 up to a 1500 grit and start sanding  this will take some time well a lot of time

if you need more info than let me know.

Thanks aza. Just one more question. Where did you get the autosol metal polish and the wadding? Would supercheap be worth a go?

Wait up. Make that two questions

yep supercheap, repco any one of them.

the Brite shine is in a yelloow tin you cant miss it and the autosol metal polish comes in a tin as well as a tube.
best thing to do is ask some one at the shop and let them get it for you saves time

looking good :D
but just remember dont polish it untill you have finished sanding as it will take you longer to sand back to a smooth surface as the polish filles up the sandpaper.

hey T.V are u driving a gr? If so how did u get the actual thing out? Ive started sanding, done a good 10 hours (hand labour, not drilled) and stupid me.... Thought to myself: sh*t it would be so much easier to just take it out.

Ive taken the bolts and screws of but it feels like its glued on or something, it probably is.

If anyone is thinking of doing this. DONT! Its a fkn bitch... Take aza's offer and pay 200bux for him to do it... Would be well worth it
